"Well, hopefully, I can be an Oiler killer," Smyth said Thursday after undergoing medical and physical tests at the Pepsi Center, the first official day of training camp...
Smyth and defenseman Scott Hannan, who signed a four-year, $18 million contract with the Avalanche on July 1, were among the NHL’s prized free-agent catches of the summer.
"It’s awesome. It’s great to be here," Smyth said. "I’ve been here for the last week. To come down here to the Pepsi Center to kick off the season is awesome. It’s a great feeling."
